Heading: Access to the Area

High Wycombe has fantastic road and rail links to the rest of the country. It sits just off the M40 and is easily accessed by the M4 and the M25. It is on the rail mainline to both London (35 minutes) and Birmingham (1hr 50 minutes) and is only half an hour from Heathrow airport.

By Car

Wycombe has excellent access to the motorway network and can be accessed from junctions 3 and 4 of the M40. The M40 provides a link to Birmingham and the North via the M42, M5 and M6, and east to London. The M4, M25, M1 and M3 are all within a short drive, allowing easy access to the rest of the UK. The A40 also provides a link from central London to High Wycombe. There is plenty of parking in the town (see parking).

Parking

The closest car parks to the town centre are The Swan, Easton Street, Dovecot, Castle Street NCP and Eden Shopping Centre.
Long stay car parks are Bellfield (surface) and Dovecot (multi-level, levels 3 – 6 only).

By Train

The High Street is a three minute walk from High Wycombe railway station. The station is operated by Chiltern Railways.

Train services to/from the High Wycombe station include:

-    London, Marylebone (35 minutes)
-    Aylesbury (25 mins)
-    Haddenham and Thame Parkway (20 mins)
-    Banbury (50 mins)
-    Birmingham (1 hr 50 mins)

By Bus

The Bus Station is located at Eden Shopping Centre and the main town centre bus stops are in the High Street, Castle Street and Frogmoor.
High Wycombe has a Park & Ride bus service running every 15 minutes.

Park & Ride

Wycombe Park & Ride offers a convenient route to High Wycombe Town Centre from junction 4 of the M40 at Cressex Island.
Just park in the large, secure car park and hop on a bus into town or to High Wycombe railway station. Buses run every 15 minutes from 7am to 7pm on Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

By Bicycle

Cycle racks are located in High Street, Church Street, St Paul’s Row and Frogmoor.

Wycombe is well situated for air travel and is in close proximity to six major international airports. Approximate travel times to/from High Wycombe:
